Dermapen 4 Skin needling… the Gold Standard in skin needling!
Known as Collagen induction Therapy. A minimally-invasive non-surgical procedure for facial rejuvenation. We create a controlled injury to the skin, breaking down old scarring wrinkles, lines and pigmentation and subsequently the production of new collagen. It smooths skin texture and refines larges pores whilst firming and lifting the skin.
Absolutely, we cannot perform a treatment like Skin Needling without all skin questions and concerns answered and your skin being prepped for at least 2 weeks prior. It is important that you know exactly what you will need to do along with the in-salon treatments to get the full results.
Yes, you will need to stop all of your regular home skin care products (excluding some) like Retinols and acids 2 weeks prior to your treatment and start using the Dermapen Products recommended for your skin to get ready. We cannot perform this treatment on you unless your skin has been prepped ready using these. Results cannot be guaranteed unless the protocol is followed by the Dermapen Standards.
After cleansing and exfoliating we begin our Dermapen treatment. This works by creating tiny punctures in the surface of the skin with the Dermapen that creates an immune response, and subsequently the production of new collagen.
(In Bec terms, we are creating a trauma to the skin and the skin ambulance drive straight to the little holes we have created to start the healing process. But the skin is very clever and the skin fibres will not heal in the same structure that it was in. If we go along a scar and puncture tiny holes into a scar it breaks down the old scar tissue and it will heal smoother and produce collagen at the same time).
The results will be tighter firmer skin. The channels produced during treatment act as pathways for topical nutrients to be infused deep within your skin to correct your concerns.
Dermapen treatments can treat a multitude of conditions including:
Wrinkles ~ Fine lines ~ Large Pores ~ Acne ~ Scarring ~ Smooths Skin Texture ~ Rosacea ~ Pigmentation
Acne-prone patients can sometimes go through episodes of breakout post-treatment. Also, patients may experience a brief inflammatory reaction that can last for 24-48 hours.
